This episode of Social Media Examiner focused on awakening the minds of entrepreneurs to have a moment to re-think the ways and strategies in running a successful business.

Michael Stelzner interviewed Tom Martin, the author of the Invisible Sale and founder of Converse Digital. Tom discussed in this episode strategies on how to be on top of the market by using social media platforms effectively .It has become evident that the growth of online industry had made way for companies to increase the market sales using these platforms.

Tom also talked about how entrepreneurs can sell using social media. This includes selling educational content that will add value to people and creating videos to boost the marketing of your products and services through the power of visuals.

Having sales agents for your business, who are not there to buy from you at first, but are enthusiastic in sharing your value to a larger network, is a group of people that you also want to win. In finding prospects, Tom encourages entrepreneurs to seek and build relationships with like-minded prospects not just online but offline as well. The Sales Evangelist EP:1 The Art of Selling with Jeffrey Gitomer
by Donald Kelly

Sales Evangelist BannerThis was the first episode of the show. Donald Kelly, host of The Sales Evangelist, interviewed a pro in sales. He is no other than Jeffrey Gitomer.

Jeffrey is a sales expert and he believes that sales people need to remember that “People don’t love to be sold but they love to BUY.”

The episode moved as Jeffrey discussed that a sales person should be more assertive in knowing what the customer really wants rather than being aggressive in giving all sorts of information which may just turn them off.jeffrey.gitomer

As a sales expert, Jeffrey gets his customers to buy from him by placing high value on what the customer values. He believes that in sales, everyone will encounter rejection. You just have to learn how to present your product next time and prioritize the value of people over product. Building relationships with your customers and never giving up are some of the many principles Jeffrey shared about sales in this episode.

Making Mountains Move Podomatic: When Life Slaps You in the Face
by Chuck Morrison

This is one of the best episodes for me because it talks a lot about how to get your feet back up when everything seems to be crushing you down. Sounds familiar? Everyone of us experiences facing resistance in life and it mostly happens when we are pursuing our greatest dreams and goals. making-mountains-move-inspiration

The episode moves as Chuck Morrison shares his turning point in life when he realized that he doesn’t want to settle in just watching other people’s dream come to reality while he is stuck in just living an average life. This was the moment where life seems to slap it off Chuck’s face that he has to start living out his dreams and move into action to get there.

Chuck was able to hit a lot of areas that an individual needs to work on if he wants to live out the best in his life. The episode was also packed with strategies and key points on what to do when you think you have already given all that you have to reach your goal but the difficulties you’re facing are just too hard to take.

Chuck’s word:  “Get back to your focus, remember your mission and when life slaps it all to your face, SLAP IT BACK!”

This was definitely an episode deserving of the Podcast of the Month!

Podcast of the Month: June 2013 (STARVE 009)

There are times when decisions come naturally, and there are times when you really need to look at a decision from multiple angles.

I had three finalists for the podcast of the month.  My only intention last month was that I would spend extra time listening to newer shows.  Little did I know that later on, these newer shows would become my podcasts of the week.

The runners-up were David J. Soler and Amy Porterfield’s shows.  I need to clarify why they are being placed in this position.  I am a student of the Internet Business Mastery Academy.  One of the learning techniques that they teach is just-in-time learning.  These two podcasts are one’s I will archive when I plan on using the information they provided.  David and Amy, great job with your shows!  I look forward to listening to more of what you put out on your podcasts.

The Podcast of the Month Winner is:

STARVE009 – Ryan Avery – The World Champion of Public Speaking

Starve The Doubts

Jared Easley put together a great interview with Ryan Avery.

When I listened to the show again, I became more impressed with this episode.  Ryan Avery talks about using positive pressure to achieve your goals.  It makes me think about how often people are affected by peer pressure.  If we have the right peers, then that pressure can be directed in the right ways.

This is definitely an episode worthy of the podcast of the month.  Please add any comments below.

Podcast Of The Month: May 2013 (The Lifestyle Business Podcast, Episode 153)

After going through the Podcast of Week Winners for the Month of May, it has been exciting to pick my winner for the month.  I picked the LBP #153 due to the vast amount of content provided in this episode.  Dan and Ian inspired me to find out more about each individual that they mentioned in this episode.  I admit that I might be a little biased since it was the first winner.  But right now, I am the person who picks.  I might change it to a panel of people later if that is the feedback I receive.

Of course the runners-up with their great podcasts were:
