Entrepreneur On Fire, Episode 212: Interview With Max Teitelbaum Of WhatRunsWhere.Com

Entrepreneur On Fire

First of all, this is the first episode of Entrepreneur On Fire that I have listened to ever.  I was extremely impressed with the quality of this podcast.

Max Teitelbaum held my attention with how he grew his business and website with whatrunswhere.com which has to do with advertising intelligence.  I like how he changed the old proverb to, “Give a man a fish. He eats for a day. Teach a man to fish. You’ve lost a customer forever.”  You will enjoy hearing what Max has to say about it.

He talks about failure and luck.  One quote I took away was,”Luck is the component of hard work and the right circumstances.”

However, my favorite part of this episode which made me decide to make this my podcast of the week was at the end when John Lee Dumas gave Max a scenario, and asked him what he would do.  I will listen to this podcast again just to hear what he said so it will be impressed on my mind.

SPI 065 : Go Mobile or Get Left Behind with Greg Hickman of MobileMixed.com

SPI 065

In this episode, Pat Flynn himself mentions how important this episode is to people who are creating websites.  He is so right, due to the way most people consume information nowadays.  In this episode, he interviews Greg Hickman of MobileMixed.com.

Greg goes over great tips on how to make many of your workflows even more mobile-friendly.  One example he gave is that when you send an email, get your strongest content in the first 5-7 words.  Otherwise, the subject line will truncate the information that would get the reader to click-through.  It’s obvious, but could be easy to overlook when you are creating a strategic subject line.

If you develop websites for any reason, listening to the information listed in this episode about mobile-based site will be extremely valuable to you.

Perseverance- Warrior Mind Coach Episode 133

I listened to a new podcast done by Gregg Swanson called the Warrior Mind Coach.  It seems to be a good one to begin on.  This episode is about perseverance.  It is a short message, but it has a lot of punch to it.  Here are the main takeaways:

  • Hit obstacles and keep going
  • Ask yourself this question, “How long would I be willing to go after that goal?”
  • Make sure that the actions you take align with your purpose. When you have passion behind your purpose, it doesn’t matter

This podcast made me think about a message I heard from Kent Julian at his Speak it Forward Boot Camp.  The word he used for perseverance was “sticktoitiveness”.  His message was that if you commit to your goal, and sitick to it you will eventually break through that barrier.  However, you got to have sticktoitiveness.
